Supports AI-based "smart-smoothing" feature

ailia SDK has been adopted for the AI runtime library of CLIP STUDIO PAINT’s "smart smoothing" feature. Smart smoothing is a feature that reduces jagginess that happens when resolution is changed, or images are enlarged, and generates clear images. It can be used for when low-resolution illustrations and manga drawn for the Web become jazzy when they are converted to book size for printing, or when lines blur when they are reshaped or enlarged.

ailia SDK enables high-speed inferencing on edge devices (such as PCs and smartphones), enabling users to enjoy the smart smoothing feature without an Internet connection. Even in a GPU-less environment, it allows off-loading to the CPU, enabling users to enjoy consistent inferencing in many different environments. Going forward, ailia SDK will include additional features and become faster to advance the features of CELSYS’ platforms to further support creators.
